Kwalata’s Cultural Tour to Mandela Village provides a unique experience for one and all. On the cultural tour we embark on a trip to the vibrant Mandela Village close to Kwalata Game Ranch. This town was established during the time of the release of former President Nelson Mandela, and we will also have a chance to view a full sized bronze statue of our respected statesmen. Thereafter we will be entertained in true township style by the locals and enjoy African hospitality at its best. We also offer companies and groups the opportunity to participate in community development projects, facilitated by the Kwalata team, in our neighbouring communities.

• Mandela square – full-size bronze statue of our respected statesman
• History and crafters
• Visit to a spaza shop (informal trading post from a house)
• Traditional dancers / Gumboot dancers performance
• A look at life in a tin house
• Visits to schools and day care centers – morning tours only
• A visit to a Sangoma (witchdoctor) - where the future unwinds with the drumbeat and the bones  are thrown.
• Finishing off at Khuwana Tavern, a Mozambican owned local tavern
