Kwalata offer Township Cultural Tours to the vibrant Hammanskraal community we visit the gifted artists at the Dinokazi Arts and craft centre, experience traditional Tshwana dancing and drumming, be entertained in true township style, visit a development centre with the option to participate (We design and tailor made programs for groups to suit outcome and objectives), we enjoy the best local cuisine served with true African hospitality!
Kwalata Adventure Camp accommodates up to 200 students and offers bunk bed log cabins. Our In-house qualified facilitators present Environmental education, Leadership & Adventure fun filled programs.
The Kwalata Community Development Initiative (KCDI) offers an array of opportunities to participate in community development programs. Experience how tourism and conservation build relationships and establish partnerships leading to amazing development! We support community entrepreneurs with the development of their infrastructure. Day-care centre development is a focus and we have built classrooms, kitchens and ablutions. Old age homes have been developed and assisted especially with infrastructure development. Artists and Performance are guided and developed and exposed to various tourism lodge community performance making the way to build life skills.
Tailors made development programs are designed to suit company or groups development outcomes.
We have Hand-in Washing Facilities available. Bring a light jacket for Summer Evenings & Warm Jacket for Winter. The average morning temperature is 6°C/42°F. Afternoons will be pleasant with temperatures around 23-25°C/73-77°F. September – The heat gradually builds to about 28°C/82°F in the afternoons, and the first rains bring relief from very dry conditions. The rain season is normally from September - February, with normally quick thunderstorms and than sky is clearing up again, quite fast. Mornings are pleasant as well, around 12°C/53°F.
